Brain Activation Precedes Conscious Intent to Move

Bonding is a physical phenomenon. Intent involves chemistry and physics. In some as yet unexplained time warp electrical activity in our neurons signals an intent to move a split-second before we are aware of having made a decision. In other words, something prior to thought sets things in motion—activates the muscles, in fact, before an awareness of the mandate rises into conscious yes/no.

How so, we say? “Sounds crazy, they can’t be saying what we think they’re saying.” Well, yes, the electrodes and diodes show that something concluded yes and no before the customary “I” knows what this is doing.

Heart/brain. I know, therefore I think.
Deeper: I am moved, therefore I know.
I receive, I sense, I pay attention to subtle input and subtle reaction.
I am receptive to sensate impressions.
I choose to attend…if we haven’t closed down.

From automatic acceptance of the world to faith. Not faith in anything, just faith. It’s a state—born before, born again. I am born. I am.

That’s the miracle. I am. From that I trust. I choose. I notice, I attend, I perceive the subtle. I am moved. “I think” is a postscript. We notice that Something has decided. It feels like me…there is faith in the give and take, the give and get. Breathing in and out. Waking and sleeping. Living and dying.

Something has decided.
